They met at The Ohio State University Ashley's freshman year of school. Her friend dragged her to a dorm game night with the promise of "cute boys" and there Ashley met Michael. They quickly became friends and eventually turned that friendship into a wondeful relationship.
Fast forward 8 years and OSU is still a very important place for them. It's where Michael took Ashley last Thanksgiving to get out of the house and walk down memory lane. They took a stroll through campus, pointing out the places they made memories and shared laughs during their years together at OSU. Then, at the end of the long walk, on the crest of the university they both love so much, Michael asked Ashley to be his wife.
Michael and Ashley asked me to meet them on the Oval for their engagement session on Saturday and we completely lucked out that Saturday's scattered showers held off for us. We started the session in front of Thompson Library and grabbed some great, casual shots of Ashley and Michael just being themselves-absolutely adorable.
After a quick change of outfits, we headed off down the infamous Long Walk and ended up in the very spot Michael popped the question. This is also where they cemented my idea that they are the perfect clients when they showed serious concern that I was standing in the middle of the street to get a few of these photos.
After swooning over Ashley's eyes, we headed across the street to snap a few photos in front of the Wexner Center which always offers beautiful backdrops for photos.
We headed back inside Thompson library for the last outfit and some amazing views from the top floor's reading room. Because it's a library, I whispered some suggestions and the gorgeous couple took it from there.
Seriously, how stunning is she!? I can't wait to see her in her wedding dress! And, okay, Michael was looking pretty good in his suit too. What an amazing couple!
Michael and Ashley, it was such a pleasure it get to know you guys on Saturday and I cannot wait to capture your big day in September!
Keep smiling!
Kaylina
