Anniversary Flashback: Lancaster, Ohio - Brown Wedding

It is hard for me to believe that I've had my photography business for a year. So much has changed. From the way I work, to the way I share my pictures with the world. So I would like to share my very first wedding with the world on the anniversary of the couple that took a chance on me and made all of this possible. They never got the blog post or slideshow that they deserved because this blog didn't exist yet. So please, view the slideshow below. And wish this beautiful couple a very happy first anniversary.

Cory and Tiffany, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to capture your wedding and for having faith in me. I hope that your first year as a married couple has been wonderful and full of growth. I wish you two many laughs and happy memories over the coming years and may you never forget where it all started.

Keep smiling,
Kaylina

Meet David: 2013 Senior Portraits - Pickerington, Ohio

This is David and as you can tell, he has a lot of hair but an even more amazing smile. David is the last of my 2013 Senior Models to get his shining moment on my blog (a privilege I know that all Senior boys in High School dream of). Instead of breaking his shoot up into two days we did one long one in Pickerington last Saturday. We spent the first half in Sycamore Creek Park where to my dismay the creek had mostly dried up and left some very angry mosquitoes in its place. We spent the last half of his shoot in Old Pickerington walking up and down the street, pausing when something caught our eye.

David was such a great model, doing whatever I asked him to even if he felt silly sometimes. And despite his mother and I almost dying of heat stoke and drowning in sweat (a pretty picture, I know), David was cool as a cucumber the entire time. I'm not sure how he does it. And as you'll be able to tell, David was so good at getting his super-model on in front of a wall in Pickerington that I just couldn't pick a favorite! David, thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to capture you right before you enter your Senior Year. And a huge thank you for bringing a great assortment of outfits to choose from. I wish more guys were like you! Good luck in all your endeavors in the future!

Not Quite a Senior Yet...

I finished my junior year of college two weeks ago. Although you'd never know it from this blog because I've been as silent as the crypt. I've been swamped with mostly senior pictures and an engagement and a wedding here and there. Things are busier than ever and for that I am very thankful. But I wanted to pause and take a moment to write a very personal blog post for my father.

Sunday was Father's day and today is my Father's 50th birthday. In honor of both of these occasions I just wanted to thank my dad for being the great man that he is. For always picking my brother and I up when we ran to greet him at the door when he got home from a long day's work and for having a sense of humor through my less agreeable teenage years. For all that you do daddy, you're the best. And I love you.

Happy birthday and according to Ohio, you have five more years until you're a Senior. Use them wisely.

Keep smiling,
Kaylina

Meet Brielle: 2013 Senior Portraits - Granville, Ohio

Meet Brielle. She's an incredibly beautiful senior at Liberty Union High School and was so much fun on both of her shoots. For the first shoot we headed to Sycamore Creek Park in Pickerington, Ohio and spent the last shoot in downtown Granville. Brie was such a great model because she did exactly what I told her to do (and nothing else). Her literal translation of everything I said proved for some humorous moments where I actually fell over from laughing so hard. We ended the session by heading over to Whit's and grabbed some frozen custard. She may kill me for posting these pictures, but we had a lot of fun trying to snap some pictures before it all melted.

Brielle, you're gorgeous and so funny. Thanks so much for giving me the great opportunity of taking your pictures and capturing your personality as you enter your senior year of high school. Good luck with everything in the future but especially the marching band season this year. You're going to rock as Field Commander!

Meet Taylor: 2013 Senior Portraits - Columbus, Ohio

Meet Taylor. Taylor is one of my 2013 Senior Models and she is absolutely fabulous. We had two amazing shoots earlier this summer and she was never afraid to strike a pose. Our first shoot was at the (roseless) Park of Roses in Columbus and our second shoot was in the Short North. Both days were extremely hot and windy but that didn't stop Taylor from looking gorgeous. I always love it when my seniors bring friends along so for her second shoot, she brought a friend with her and after a little convincing, we got her to sit in for a few pictures too.

Taylor is a Senior at Hilliard Davidson High School and hopes to carry her love of music onto college after graduating next spring. Taylor, thanks so much for modeling for me and not being afraid of wearing heels! Good luck with the rest of your Senior year and everything after that too!
